What is Factur-X?

Factur-X is the French name for the ZUGFeRD hybrid PDF+XML e-invoice standard.

Factur-X packages EN 16931 invoice data as XML embedded in PDF/A-3, identical in structure to ZUGFeRD. France promotes Factur-X for B2B e-invoicing reform; Germany uses ZUGFeRD terminology.

Cross-border suppliers may export Factur-X for French buyers and XRechnung XML for German public sector — Tentaco validators help check both formats locally.
