Yes. Every tool is 100% free, forever, with no sign-up and no account. There's no premium tier and no paywall.
Most tools run entirely in your browser — your input stays on your device. Exceptions are clearly marked: File exchange (temporary share link), Image Studio AI (upscale, background removal, Re-Imagine), DNS/SSL/API tools, optional assistant cloud modes and optional device sync.
When you upload a file to share, we store it on our server and give you a download link. The file is only accessible via that link and is automatically deleted after 6 hours. Do not upload confidential or illegal content.
No mandatory account. Your favourites and recently used tools are saved locally in your browser. Optional encrypted sync can back them up across devices if you opt in on the Device sync page.

Use Letter Studio → Dunning template. Fill in sender, recipient and invoice reference, pick the 1st, 2nd or 3rd reminder example, preview on A4 and download the PDF locally.
Yes. In Document Studio → Invoice (or Credit note) enable the Kleinunternehmer toggle. VAT is omitted and the §19 UStG exemption note is added automatically.
Use Finance Studio → PayPal fees. Enter the amount you want to receive; the calculator adds PayPal buyer-protection fees (default ~2.49% + €0.35 for DE, adjustable).
Open Document Studio → Invoice. Fill seller and buyer details, line items and tax rate, preview the A4 layout, and download a PDF locally — no account required.
In Letter Studio or Document Studio templates, use Share link to copy a URL with your form state encoded. Anyone opening the link sees the same prefilled fields.
Open PDF Studio → OCR, drop a scanned PDF and run OCR. All pages are processed locally in your browser with Tesseract.js — text never leaves your device. Download the result as .txt.
Yes. New share links use compressed encoding for shorter URLs. Older btoa-encoded links are still decoded automatically when opened.
Yes. Open PDF Studio → Repair PDF. qpdf WASM rewrites xref/trailer tables locally in your browser — no upload to a server.
Yes. In Document Studio → Invoice, fill the template and use Export ZUGFeRD PDF. v1 embeds Factur-X basic XML in the PDF; validate with the E-invoice validator for full checks.
Yes. Use the project menu in the HTML Studio toolbar to save, open, and manage multi-file projects in IndexedDB on your device — nothing is sent to our servers.
After validating XRechnung or ZUGFeRD XML, failed rules show a Fix chip that opens the invoice template with the relevant field highlighted (e.g. BT-10 buyer reference).
Yes. Open the E-invoice validator (XRechnung / ZUGFeRD), switch to Batch mode, and drop multiple XML or ZUGFeRD PDF files. You get a per-file traffic light, summary table, and a ZIP with combined JSON and text reports — all locally in your browser.
In HTML Studio, open the export menu and choose Static site ZIP. You get index.html, styles.css, script.js, assets/, and a README with hosting tips for GitHub Pages, Netlify or any static host — no server upload required.
Tentaco is available in 17 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Czech, Hindi, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Ukrainian and Indonesian. Switch via the language menu — URLs use locale prefixes (/de/, /ja/, etc.).
No advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use first-party web analytics on our own infrastructure (beacon to our servers). Turn it off at /privacy-dashboard (cookie tentaco-analytics-opt-out). Details in the privacy policy.
A studio is a workspace bundling related tools (modes). Open a studio, pick a mode from the sidebar or press ⌘K, then paste text or drop a file. Most modes run entirely in your browser — no account required.
When you open a file-forward studio without a file loaded, you'll see a short step-by-step guide (e.g. drop a PDF, pick a mode, download output). Guides differ per studio — Signature, OCR, Legal, Automation and all expansion studios included.
After processing a file, use Quick actions → Send to or the handoff banner to open a related studio with the same file — no re-upload. Example: compress a PDF in PDF Workspace, then hand off to Sign or OCR Scan Studio.
Yes. Many studios support My presets — save current settings (quality, format, etc.) locally in your browser. You can also copy a share-settings link that encodes non-sensitive options in the URL.
Upscale, Remove background and Re-Imagine upload your image when you start a job. We forward it to an external processing provider (image-upscaling.net). Results are kept temporarily on our server (up to 30 minutes) and deleted automatically. You confirm once before the first job in the tool. All other Image Studio modes still run locally in your browser.
We do not use your images for training. Uploads are temporary and metadata is stripped where possible. For maximum privacy, use local-only Image Studio modes (resize, compress, convert, crop, etc.) instead of the three AI modes.
External AI processing shares provider capacity. When busy, jobs wait in a short queue with status updates. You can cancel and retry. Local Image Studio modes are not affected.
Fair-use limits apply per IP (file size caps and daily job counts) to keep the free tier sustainable. Consent and relevant limits are shown before you start a job.
Open Sync Center. When you enable sync, favourites, settings, workflows and projects are end-to-end encrypted — the server only sees ciphertext. You get a sync code / recovery key; without it we cannot restore anything. Sync is optional, needs no account and never starts by itself.
By default, no — routing uses local phrase matching and BM25 search in your browser. Optional server LLM (Ollama on our infrastructure) or cloud (OpenAI) only run when you enable them in assistant settings. Page context stays on-device unless you opt into enrichment.
Server routes include DNS lookup, SSL certificate viewer, HTTP proxy/CORS tests, optional file share (6-hour TTL), Image Studio AI (upscale, background removal, Re-Imagine), SEO Analytics Studio scans and optional assistant enrichment. Every tool shows a privacy tier badge — local-first tools never upload your input.
