Why Tentaco exists — tools processed locally in your browser, honest limits and accessible in 17 languages.
We build Tentaco because everyday work online should not require uploading your files to yet another cloud.
Tentaco is a free browser toolbox: 25 studios and 574+ tools for PDF, images, code, documents and more. Our mission is to give everyone professional-grade utilities without accounts, tracking or hidden uploads — while being transparent about what runs locally and what needs the server. Available in 17 languages.
No mandatory sign-up. Most tools never send your files anywhere. Optional cloud features — assistant, sync, heavy AI — are clearly labelled and off until you opt in.
PDF editing, formatting, compression and most image work runs in your browser with WebAssembly. Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose server processing.
We document limitations instead of overselling. Watermark removal is not magic AI; PDF bookmarks are view-only where libraries allow. You deserve to know what a tool can and cannot do.
The UI ships in 17 languages. Core code is open source. Letter and invoice templates follow German business conventions where it matters — without locking out the rest of the world.
We ship in small releases, publish a public roadmap and changelog, and improve based on real feedback — not engagement tricks or dark patterns.
